Afan Lodge

I along with four of my friends stayed for 2 nights so we could spend the weekend mountain biking in the forest. The welcome when we arrived at the lodge was a warm one and the rooms were exactly as shown and described on the website.

The food was excellent, just what we needed for a hard weekend in the forest mountain biking.

The trails in Afan forest are awesome and just a stones throw from the lodge. Both i and my friends will be visiting the lodge again in the near future and i will be recommending it to others.

It was our first time @ Afan Lodge as a group of 6, 4 keen male cyclists and two efficient lady cyclists and dog walkers!  We had a great weekend despite the main cycling day being very wet.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful @ all times and the food over the two days was excellent.  it was such a refreshing change to be looked after by staff who went out of their way to make our stay most enjoyable.

We will definitely recommend Afan Lodge to others.

This was our 2nd time at the Afan Lodge for our annual corporate Mountain Biking event - 12 people from as far and wide as Bermuda, New York, Zurich and London.

The accomodation is ideal, the setting is lovely and the food is great.  This year Richard and Michelle organised all of the bike hire and provided guides to run a morning skills course (some of us were new to MTB) and a guided trek. 

All we had to do was turn up and ride - perfect!  We will be back.

Briilant place, modern, clean, friendly staff, great food and drink and geared toward mountainbikers, excellent.

A brilliant place to stay, perfect place for food, biking and sleeping. I had a awesome time and because of that I am always there.

Only managed to stay the one night this time, but will be back for more. Really friendly welcoming staff, great rooms and plenty of choice of food to fill up after a hard day. Breakfast was also great.

Look forward to you providing some guiding in the future.

My son and I had a great time at the Lodge and on the tracks, thoroughly recommended.

We used the Afan Lodge as our base for two days of corporate entertainment.  Our party of 12 travelled up from London to Port Talbot where us and our bikes were picked up and taken to the hotel in a most friendly and efficient manner.

Richard and all the staff at Afan were both friendly and efficient.  Not only were the rooms fullprepared but internet access was also arranged.  The accommodation was very clean and finished to a very good standard.  Our party have travelled to all corners of the world and have stayed in many hotels.  All of us commented on the friendliness and efficiency of the staff and as hosts we could not fault the attention we were given or the value for money.  The food was good and breakfast set us up for a day in the saddle although we did return to the lodge for a great lunch and some lubication.

I would highly recommend the lodge for a corporate event whether it be a mountain biking or other team building event.  I wish all at Afan Lodge every success with theis excellent endeavour

The Afan Lodge Experience.

A warm welcome on arrival.the room was excellent,plenty of space,good facilities and very clean. The food at the lodge is basic good quality food, cooked to perfection and very filling compliments to the chef. All of the staff (including the cleaner lady) are warm and friendly.

The local trails are second to none very challenging but so rewarding. If you can only have 1 weekend away from the family biking with the boys this has to be the one.

Surfed saturday and biked Sunday - you havent seen the last of us!

After a hard days biking on Afans superb trails, Afan Lodge is the perfect retreat. Richard and louise have created a perfect environment to make your stay in the valley a very memorable one. With breath taking views, great beer, good food and modern, clean accommodation this place really is the icing on Afans cake.

I'm an entusiastic mountain biker who has been to many trails around Wales and Scotland but never found a place to stay that ticks so many boxes.

Looking forward to my next visit!
